You're invited to FNCTC's Annual Meeting!

Wednesday, September 3rd, 7 pm (EST) on NCTC's Campus, Room 103 Instructional East.

The Friends of NCTC welcome you to join us for a quick dinner (6:00-7:00 pm) in the Headwaters Dining Room. We must have a head count for this so Please Register by emailing us (at info@friendsofnctc.org) with your name and the number in your party, before August 27th. (Entrees run about $13-17, cash or credit card.)

After dinner, we will head to Room 103 IE for a quick annual business meeting and a special presentation about the Friends of NCTC's activities this year. (We've been busy!)

We are also excited to be planning the Friends Social which will take place on Sunday, September 14, from 1-4 pm at NCTC. The Social will include tours of the Archives led by Historian Mark Madison (at 1:15 and 1:45 pm). A special film presentation about "Parachuting Beavers" will be offered several time during the afternoon. Refreshments will be available from 1-4 pm. You can take your picture in the recreated "eagles nest" (located just a short walk away from the reception), meet old friends and make new ones, and renew (or join!) the Friends of NCTC. Several special items will be offered as door prizes! (This event is designed for adults, but activities are family friendly).

Mark your calendars now for both of these events and invite your friends to join you!

NEWS

Thank you, Deb Stecyk and Mike R., for capturing such wonderful photos of Bella and Smitty! If you capture any photos, contact us at info@friendsofnctc.org, and we may put them in our slideshow.

Great compilation of the Eagle Cams footage of Bella and Smitty's first season together!

Here is the video highlights of the NCTC Bald Eagles 2019 nesting season. There is a heartfelt thank you to NCTC, Outdoor Channel and Friends at the end of the video, as well as, a very special thank you to all the citizen scientists that help us to document the events at the nest. This past year we were able to collect and document bald eagle behavior on a spreadsheet that is accessible to students and the public; thanks again to our small team at Bald Eagles 101 on Facebook your assistance made this possible! Thanks also to Clayton and Randy your support was greatly appreciated!
