Friends of the National Conservation Training Center Annual Social Event is back!

The Friends will host a FREE event at the Training Center at 698 Conservation Way, Shepherdstown WV 25443 on Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 1-4:30 pm.

There will be and Archives Tour at 1, reception with refreshments from 1-4, and a short family friendly conservation films about refuges at 4. The featured film is about West Virginia's own Canaan Valley Wildlife Refuge. The filmmaker, Peter Schriemer, "America's Nature Guy" will be in attendance.

There will be a photo op with the constructed eagles nest and a chance to see the real eagles nest.

Come enjoy this rare chance to see the beautiful NCTC campus, and learn about all of the Friend's volunteer opportunieties.

We have activities ranging from teaching school kids about nature to planting native trees.
