Come and Plant Trees for Reforestation Day at NCTC!
This is a cooperative effort between Friends of NCTC and Potomac Valley Audubon Society in support of NCTC.
Plant trees and learn reforestation techniques from Phil Pannill, Land Manager at the National Conservation Training Center.

Tree Planting and Reforestation - We will:   
  • Increase amount of forest habitat at NCTC
  • Widen narrow woodland section near public roadway
  • Connect wider woodland section, provide better travel corridor,  and improved habitat for forest interior for birds
  • Holes for trees will be pre-dug by an auger
  • Cylindrical tree shelters will be installed
  • Plant a variety of native deciduous tree seedlings
Registration is limited to the first 30 volunteers. Registration is open Friends of NCTC members, first come, first served. Registration deadline is April 8, 2016. If you're not a member and would like to join, visit www.friendsofnctc.org.

Wear warm clothes, in layers, and sturdy shoes.  It would be good to bring a pair of work gloves, a hat and a water bottle.

Meet (and leave your vehicles) at the parking lot for Support Services, which you reach by taking the first road to the right, Captain Hendrix Drive, after the Security Guard Station.
